As an alumnus/alumna of Clare, you are always welcome to visit the College with your guests (if there is a large group of you - more than six - please contact us first). We often have custodians guarding our gates due to the large numbers of tourists wandering through, but if you let them know that you are a Clare alumnus/alumna then they should happily let you through.
As an alumnus/alumna of Cambridge, you are entitled to a CamCard which gives you and your guests access to the college and gardens, free of charge at any time of the year. It will also give you access to all of the other Cambridge Colleges free of charge throughout the tourist season. The CamCard includes many other benefits, including discounts, and more information about its perks can be read on this site.
Follow this link to apply for a CamCard.
Whenever you return to College, please feel free to visit the Development Office (E5, Old Court). The team can assist you with any queries and will be delighted to meet you and offer you a cup of tea and a place to relax.
Access during Easter Term 2017:
Our gates are shut from now until the end of June because of exams taking place this term, so you will need to contact the Development Office and let them know of your visit ahead of time so we can give you an access code for the gates
